The placenta can be a useful tool in helping with postpartum recovery. Placenta encapsulaton and other forms of using the placenta as a healing aid is growing in popularity as mothers are becoming more informed on its benefits. Also, many families wish to bury or use the placenta in other rituals to honor the birth of their child. It is currently deemed as medical waste and is held in a lab for inspection, then incinerated. Why would an organ that allowed your baby to survive for 9 months be considered waste? It is a mother's right to have her placenta released to her without hassle of court orders, extra costs, and pathology testing.  For more information on the benefits of the placenta you can visit www.placentabenefits.info and http://www.placentanetwork.com/.
