My name is Trinity Morris, I am 16 years old. My dad has been in prison for murder and has served sixteen years. The courts have violated my fathers Sixth Amendement Rights, giving him a hundred years. It would mean a lot to me, if my father was released from prison soon. I will be graduating and I wouldn't want him to miss another important moment in my life. He has missed my birth, my brithdays, dance recitals, team meetings, cheer, softball games, just me growing up as a whole into the young lady I am today. To me it's heartbreaking not being able to have my dad around . To have that other half and support system. To have my father like other children have and not knowing what it feels like. I miss him. My father coming home would change a lot of things as far as my behavior, grades, my mom being my only supporter and so much more. Not having my father has impacted me tremendously. I have been in several behavioral facilities from just the lack of that male role model, my father. I have reached out to the wrong things in need of filling a void that is missing and that void is my father. Over these years I have gotten to know my father in prison for who he truly is despite the prison walls but our relationship is limited. My father is the most kind-hearted man you would ever meet. He always has positive feedback to me about things he would like to do differently if he were free. He could be a mentor to young men out here that are headed down that road that he was on. Please find compassion in your heart in granting my fathers freedom. I need him and my siblings do to. God Bless!!!!
