For too long, Oklahoma has been listed as a "conservative" state and while I do agree that some conservative morals make us act better in the public eye, it is time for us to stop resting on religious laurels and move along with the rest of the country.

Sitting back and playing the ignorant fool who doesn't want to "conform" to the rest of society because of religious ambiguities is archaiac and has no place in our society.

It is time for Oklahoma to stand up for their citizens and break the trend of the south being the ultra conservatives and to finally allow the equality of all people in this state to marry regardless of race, gender, creed, national origin, OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
