Educating the work force to be able to have jobs is very important right now.
A lot of kids are getting into school debt and it is encouraged by everyone in the system. Most kids are encouraged to go to school even if they don't really know what they want to do which is causing from my standpoint an overload.
There are a number of things I think should be changed in the system:
1) I think that we should have schools with very little extras, no club funding, no extra gyms, etc. Just a school with a library and good teachers. There are a lot of extras that seem to go into colleges nowadays that is not needed and is wasting the money we have not even made yet. Fun raising and private donations can keep these running if students really want them.
2) I want to encourage a revamp of the entire system, to get more online classes in the mix and to make all schools in the state of NH take every credit.
3) College should be something kids should be able to pay off even if they drop out. This debt is not encouraging them to work hard, but stresses them out when they get into the work force (if they get in it at all nowadays). I would like to see in my lifetime, college free or almost free for all in state students. After all we are competing with the world now for jobs, we need to step up if we are going to stay one of the top countries in the world.
4) If there is no way to lower the tuition across the board put incentives for people to go into certain majors with low or no tuition
