This important bill will clamp down on the brutal crime of human trafficking of minors, increase fines given to johns who solicit commercial sex from minors, and help victims start a new life after they are trafficked.

AB 12 - Abolition of Child Commerce, Exploitation, and Sexual Slavery Act of 2011

Status: AB12 has been sent to the governor for his signature. Requires johns who solicit or procure commercial sex from a minor under the age of 16 to pay an additional $25,000 fine, which will be deposited in the Victim-Witness Assistance Fund. These funds may be appropriated to child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse victim counseling centers and prevention programs.

I am emailing you to urge you to sign AB 12 into law. The crime of human trafficking is more common in California than most people realize which is why I am urging you to take action.
