A live cat was found recently half-buried in concrete in Colorado City, AZ, and the man who rescued the kitten believes it was a message from a pro-polygamy religious group. Despite rescue efforts, the cat died several days later due to the fact that concrete is extremely acidic and corrosive to skin. If you're stuck in concrete it will dry you out and eat away at you slowly, which is what happened to this helpless kitten. The man, Andrew Chatwin, who attempted to rescue the kitten, says that these acts of cruelty have been going on for years. What's worse, the Colorado City Sheriffs Dept isn't doing anything about it. "[The officer] kind of chuckled and laughed a little bit and then he said that if it was up to him, he'd just throw dirt on [the cat]," Chatwin said. "And this is coming from a city marshal who's a member of the FLDS Church."

These horrendous acts of cruelty must be investigated. If there is a group responsible for these killings, they must be punished to the fullest extent of the law so that this does not continue.
