I am standing up for the rights of the lgbtq+ And the black community. Many people are killed and assaulted just because of how they identify or the color of their skin. To this day there are many injustices towards people that identify as anything other than straight or to someone who is not white. There have been many attacks on people of the lgbtq+ community such as bar shootings and blatant murders. Blacks are being killed everyday primarily based on the color of their skin. I want the government to do more to protect minorities, two of them them being the lgbtq+ and black community. People should not have to suffer based on something that they cannot control. I am not black myself, but I realize that racism is still a big problem to this day. I might as well use my white privilege to promote love and not hate.  This petition is to show the government that we need to do more to keep minorities safe.
