The Events Industry needs help! Combined revenues to the UK economy prior to COVID was £70billion with associated revenue to the economy of over £165 billion with 700,000 employed in the sector !!

The UK economy needs us and we have delivered year on year but NOW we need help to keep these levels of employment in place and to help keep struggling companies afloat. Companies which are fundamentally viable are hamstrung by social distancing measures and uncertainty as to when they can re-open. For many other industries the government has put in place a package of specific measures to help; restaurants, theatres etc etc. Across Europe governments have put in place measures to support the events industry but not in England! Even the Scottish parliament has industry specific measures for the events industry !
