Stephen White started this petition to The Government

I,like millions of other UK citizens, are advised by my government to 'save for my future' by starting a private pension fund, the idea being to help my government by reducing my state pension payout when I eventually retire in 50 years time.I would still pay the same tax amount and N.I. contributions but the government could use more of my money for new hospitals, schools, public amenities etc.

So,at 18,I earned a wage every week, paid my taxes and N.I. and then paid into my private pension fund.I worked until I was 45 when I was struck down with cancer.

I survived but the surgery left me severely disabled.I then fought for 2 years with the government to prove I had a disability and was unable to return to work.

I now receive PIP and ESA,however,I do not receive the full amount of ESA payments. My pension company released my private pension fund early (which I paid TAX on,again!!) once I was declared unfit to return to work,so I receive £67 pension per week.

This is classed by the government as an 'INCOME' (again!) and is DEDUCTED from ESA payments. If I did NOT pay into a private pension fund,I would receive the FULL amount of ESA payments.

I,like thousands of other citizens in the UK,saved for our futures only for the government to DEDUCT it when we most need it.

We are thousands of disabled people in the UK which would HUGELY benefit from being able to use OUR pension,OUR money, that WE earned and WE used to save for OUR future but again WE are being UNFAIRLY treated,UNJUSTLY ignored and OUR government are punishing US AGAIN!!!!!!!

We need to alter the law so ANY disabled person does NOT have their private pension classed as an INCOME!!! It is OUR money not the governments!!!

Please help by signing this petition so OUR voice can be heard, thank you.
