Rescue 9-year-old Abdul Rauf from torturers before it's too late

9-year-old Abdul Rauf was kidnapped in the northern Balk province of Afghanistan a month ago. The ethnically Turkmen child’s family says the kidnappers wore military uniforms. The kidnappers demanded a $1.5 million ransom from Abdul’s family for his release. In addition, they tormented the family by sending them video footage of their little boy being tortured. Abdul’s father stated that he has not seen any actions taken by the Afghan government in investigating and recovering his son, despite the daily torture footage he receives from the kidnappers.

We are urging the Afghan government to help recover Abdul Rauf!

It is a known practice in Afghanistan that kidnapped children are being killed when their parents have failed to meet ransom demands. As a mother, I plead with you to help Abdul return home safely before it is too late. Let’s do our part so that evil cannot triumph and a mother does not lose her child.
