There are over 10 million tons of plastic that enter our oceans each year. This amount increases each year and by 2050 it is estimated that there will be more pounds of plastic than fish in the ocean. A big step towards reducing the use of plastic is to reduce the use of plastic straws, and a sufficient way to do this is to limit plastic straws in restaurants in the US. Plastic straws would still be an option at restaurants, but waiters would not give them out or ask if the customers want to use them. Less plastic straws would be produced for restaurants which would save our environment, animals, and humans. Please sign this petition to reduce plastic and help our environment.
