The Hainan gibbon (Nomascus hainanus), is a species of gibbon found only on Hainan Island, China. Currently, there are only 10 mature individuals left, and with the increase rate of deforestation, human disturbance as well as agriculture, they are now more in danger than ever! It is important that we protect this beautiful and incredibly adorable species from extinction so that they can spread joy to people around the world (especially through memes)!
