Increased funding for dementia

The population in Hampshire includes over 300,000 people aged 65 and over. Of these, it is estimated that 18,000 people suffer with dementia. Dementia is a terminal condition which is desperately underfunded. Currently only £90 is spent per person on dementia research, when realistically this should be a considerable amount more. Increased funding for research and care would ensure better treatments and reassurance for their families.
