Myself, like many other disabled people, cannot travel independently on a train. In theatres, at sport and any other places, we get a free companion ticket, so it does not cost us more to attend. However, this is not the case when traveling on trains. There is a discount of 1/3 for the disabled person and 1/3 the companion, this means the overall price is 4/6 of the cost. Many disabled people have to pay the extra cost for this themselves, making it a lot more expensive to travel as a disabled person on the railway. I want the cost of the companion ticket to be free.
