Recently, in Delhi there has been an huge increase in the pollution levels, and this is not the first time that such an incident has occurred. Due to many reasons each year for a certain time period the level of pollution rises so high, that the schools are forced to close, all outdoor activities for children have to be cancelled and many people suffer from so many respiratory diseases. However if the government/schools were to request each student in every school to plant one tree a year in their own neighbour hood and to look after it as well. it will be that individual student’s responsibility to look after the tree. With this each year the amount of trees in our society will increase by a great extent and make material impact in reducing pollution.

Delhi now is facing a serious issue regarding pollution, and I respect all the things that people are doing however I feel that planting trees is a very beneficial activity as not only does it help in reducing pollution it also has various other benefits, such as providing shelter to people in the scorching heat, certain trees such as tulsi which also absorbs the most pollution have medicinal values as well.

such plantations can take place on municipal land which is open to the public unless specified other wise, but I also want to urge the government to provide designated land for such plantations as well.

Along with this, the government should also look into providing gas mask to student of government schools, who can not afford to purchase such gas masks due to financial constraints, to actually help them to not inhale such harmful substances which are present in our atmosphere as of now.

This petition is possibly the most realistic solution to our pollution problem. Unlike air purifiers, it's a long term solution that can not only be practiced by rich private institutions but government schools as well. We do need clean air now but we also need to make sure that this never happens again and this petition is a step in the right direction.
