One of the biggest issues in the United States is Youth Gang Violence. 50 percent of gang members are under the age of 17 years old and 16 percent of gang members are under the age of 15 years old. Also, more young people are joining gangs through social media and by making threats.​ ​As you can see this is really bad and that is why my group and I are going to try our best to raise awareness about preventing gang violence. We are going to try raising awareness about preventing gang violence by making pamphlets, infographics and much more ways. Most kids that live in low income neighborhoods end up in gangs. This is a big problem because people who join gangs have a big chance of dying, doing illegal things, putting themselves, and other people at risk in a not good way. The biggest victims in this case are kids in the age of 14 and 15. Most kids join gangs for different reasons. Sometimes because they want protection, they are lonely, and sometimes they belong to a group that joins a gang, or even because of family tradition.​ ​Gang violence mostly happens in big cities in the northeast and south, and it’s not easy to get out of a gang. People, especially kids, don’t get a good education after they join gangs because sometimes they drop out of school. This results in them not getting good jobs.
