Brendan Phillips started this petition to Shane Ross: Minister of Transport (Dáil Éireann)

Cycling in Dublin City is incredibly dangerous. With cycle lanes barely separated from main roads; buses, taxis and reckless drivers put the lives of cyclists at risk.

I've only been living in Blackrock and commuting to UCD for 5 months, but in this period I've nearly been hit multiple times. I am a safe cyclist and obide by all laws and rules of the road, yet I am still at risk.

While it is a large expense, having segregated cycle lanes would make it safer for drivers, pedestrians and most importantly cyclists.

Please sign this petition so we can bring it to the attention of the Dáil.
