BARRY SUE started this petition to The general public and visitors to Midland

Jack Sue, often referred to as one of Australia's favourite sons, was a national WW2 war hero. In 1950, he was awarded  the 'Distinguished Conduct Medal' for leadership, bravery and outstanding courage,

Post war, Jack pioneered the underwater diving world with WA's first diving retail outlet known as 'Jack Sue WA Skindivers'. His company manufactured underwater industrial product for divers that was marketed and sold throughout Australia and overseas. As an accomplished pianist, he had his own dance band for more than 4 decades, during such time where he was a household name across Australia. His  own TV Show "Down Under with Jack Sue on Channel 9 Perth, lasted some 3 years or more,

The Jack Sue Building in Midland was his 3rd diving store in Perth. His bestseller books "Blood on Borneo'  and 'Ghost of the Alkimos' were self published from 6-8 Helena Street Midland.

This iconic structure is listed under the local heritage. As his son, I am reaching out for public support in my efforts to have this magnificent landmark, restored  back to its former glory.

It is my pride of honour and passionate duty of care, to leave this monument with the name Jack Sue for locals and visitors to enjoy, for many generations to come.
