We, the Sudanese American Community Organization (SACO), on behalf of every Sudanese and in the name of democracy, hereby demand:

1. Release of detainees and a return to the pre-coup power-sharing arrangement before negotiating further.

2. Restoration of a civilian-led government to put the country back on a path to democracy after decades of authoritarian rule.

3. The army should go back to its barracks and give the leadership to Prime Minster Dr. Hamdok.

4. Condemned the arrests of activists and political leaders.

5. Grant Lawyers access to detained officials and politicians.

6. Criminal charges against coup leaders.

7. Demands for a handover of power to civilians in full, demanding a fully civilian government.

8. Do away with the 14-member power-sharing Sovereign Council in favor of a three-person honorary council.

9. Pre-coup government, would be represented in parliament, and the military would continue to lead a Security and Defense Council.

10. Prime Minster Dr. Hamdok to be given full executive powers and appoint a cabinet of technocrats.
