The Original Tiki Bar, a family owned local business, is at risk of losing its lease August 31, 2018. We are asking for public support to show the city commissioners and Mayor that the community would like to keep the Tiki and say no to the out of town chain restaurants. The Tiki has submitted a plan to the city to build a 1.5 million dollar building that would be city owned and we would lease from them. Tiki has had a 20 year successful relationship with the City of Fort Pierce. Since the Lloyd's have owned the tiki they have enhanced the downtown area by being loyal and promoting great things in our downtown area as well as helping downtown events prosper. The staff of 95 employees will be without work September 1st if we can't change the commissioners decision. We were told by the commissioners this was up to the tax payers. Lets hold them to it!!!!!!
