New Britain native, Nathaniel "Nate" Brickhouse lived in and served New Britain, Connecticut. Nate served selflessly as a volunteer in the New Britain Food Pantry and rose to become the pantry coordinator. Nathaniel devoted himself to connecting the neediest with food and resources in the City of New Britain. He did this for many years before passing away suddenly in 2016 at the age of 55. Nate's service was also recognized in his church as the congregation named its service award in his honor. Nate also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
