Allow Organic European Formulas in the USA

Millions of American families choose to feed our little ones infant formula. We've done our research, explored our options, and chose European baby formula. We know that European formula standards are actually higher than those of the FDA*. There is no corn syrup, L-Carnitine, Lycopene, Taurine, L-methionine, and nucleotides permitted; there is also no amount of pesticide ever allowed in European formulas - not even trace amounts.
In the past year, it has become harder to buy European baby formula in the United States and this is because our government does not want you to have access to formula from the EU. Parents are having their orders seized at US Customs and sent back to Europe, where they are destroyed.
US-based companies who provide parents with these European formulas have had their warehouses seized; they've had the doors to their homes kicked in by FDA agents with guns. They've been treated like drug dealers for providing healthier options to parents. Their business and livelihood are being destroyed as they now face hefty fines and the possibility of jail time. All this, over distributing quality formula by the oldest, most respected formula manufacturers in the world.
These infant formulas are being denied entry into our country because the major American formula corporations are pulling strings to limit competition in the formula market - not because the government actually thinks they are unsafe. Banning the import of these products is not in the best interest of anyone other than the manufacturers of American baby formula products. We demand the autonomy to choose what is best for our families and for the government to stay out of our private decisions as a family.
Please sign this petition and send a strong message to our government. We demand better! We demand our right to choose.
