Nathan Scott started this petition to THE FIA

On August 31st, the world realised that open wheel motorsport (specifically formula 1, 2 and all others associated with them) are not safe enough. By signing this petition you could be part of a movement to prevent tragedies such as Anthoine Hubert's from happening. We need the cars to have stronger monocoques. On the 31st of August, 22 year old Anthoine Hubert lost his life in an accident at Spa Francorchamps because of issues mentioned above. He could've gone on to become world champion, but instead joins a long list of lives cut short by lower than necessary safety standards: Ascari and many others' deaths, which lead to the addition of seat belts to the cars; Roger Williamson's death, that lead to additional fire extinguisher and fire engines on track; Ratsenberger and Senna's deaths, which lead to the addition of chicanes at Imola; and Jules Bianchi lead to the addition of the halo. This list could go on forever, but it shouldn't have to. With your signature we could be able to make the necessary changes to stop deaths in formula motorsports; stronger monocoques to give the drivers a better chance at surviving a side on impact. Thanks.
