The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA): Amend Law 4 to permit the wearing of religious head coverings.

The Quebec Soccer Federation, the governing body of the sport of soccer in Quebec, reaffirmed its discriminatory and outrageous policy prohibiting players from wearing Turbans, including the patka and keski typically worn by young Sikhs. This decision was necessary, according to the Federation, due to the alleged potential for injury from wearing a turban, and the prohibition on wearing clothing or equipment that is determined to be dangerous under Law 4 of the FIFA Laws of The Game.
On June 3rd, 2013, I published an open letter to the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), calling upon them to amend Law 4 in the Laws of the Game, which outline the rules of soccer. You can read the full text of my letter here.
My letters have received attention and support from around the globe. Now, I need your help in showing FIFA that this sort of discriminatory policy cannot be justified. Please take a moment and show your support for this important cause by signing this petition. Together, we can show FIFA that this rule can not be defended, and show our support for the Children's Right to Play.
