For years the student body has been promised greater freedoms within the senior college campus. However the new policies set to be introduced in 2022 trample upon said promises, restricting the students right/ability to self expression and other personal liberties.

The 2022 Essington uniform policy was created with little to no input from the general student body, despite it affecting us all greatly. This combined with the borderline extortionate prices families are forced to bare as a result of such frequent changes honestly slickening.

We the students find these policies to be outrageous, authoritarian and frankly unnecessary. We have been lied to and have had our ability to be unique individuals stripped away from us.

This is not the kind of learning environment we wish to be a part of and find it utterly disgraceful that the teaching body has allowed such oppressive policies to be passed. Along with this, we are fed up with being treated in a manner in which the everyday student is granted minimal impact into major decision making processes.

We kindly request the removal/revoking of the aforementioned 2022 senior college uniform policy before the beginning of the 2022 semester.
