I'm signing this because I am a small business owner who provides IT support to around 3000 clients.
The number of clients we've had to assist in recovering from surprise updates has only increased over the last 6 months, and while it certainly has provided a certain amount of job security, the cost to individual users across the world has got to be staggering.
The fact that this hasn't turned into a full blown legal action baffles the mind.
Microsoft says the update won't be free after July? Wonderful, if it will stop these unsolicited updates.
Heads should be rolling, but I'd bet some "Deployment manager" is simply getting a fat bonus for every 100,000 updates they reach.
