The topic I research about is the flat earth society and why people believe its flat. Before I researched this topic I believed the earth was a sphere and I still do because it is. Researching about flat earth did not change my opinion because it is a bunch of weird stuff. I discovered that the flat earth society has grown over the years and it was only founded in 1956. A lot of people have distrust in the government but they also believe in other conspiracies. When trying to prove a flat earther wrong they dont have the evidence but they still manage to keep arguing to the point where the other person has ran out of evidicen they start questioning the possibilty of the eaerth being flat. What I want people to understand is altough it may not seem serious more people are starting to believe the earth is flat, and in the modern age of the internet being a influence on young people and others this may make it easier for people to believe. My proposal for us to help stop the flat earth idea is to teach it in school to kids and to also say why its not true and the show  factual evidence over the centuries on how and why the earth is a sphere.
