Sub- Criminal complaint against Artatrana Baba based at Bhubaneswar under the provisions of Drugs and Magic Remedies ( Objectionable Advertisements ) Act 1954

Sir,

We are concerned citizens based at different parts of India would like to make a formal criminal complaint against the individual named Artatrana , alias Artatrana Baba of Bhubaneswar who is a self proclaimed "godman". The complaints relate to crimes of various types and nature, that have been committed by Artatrana baba over the years.
As you know that when the entire country is under the grip of pandemic Covid-19 and crores of citizens are in a panic stricken state and struggling to save their lives and spending their days badly under different Covid-19 guidelines of Govt of India and State Govt, one Artatran Baba is seen claiming in different electronic medias like Kanak News and News 7 etc that he possesses a super magical power to cure different diseases including corona virus. He claims that since so many years he is giving such magical treatment to different diseases by his magical power. His recent claims to treat the corona affected patients has confused the panicked citizens also is a challenge to the state govt. Different medias are creating hue and cry in the public by highlighting such claims of the Artatrana Baba. Such claims of Artatran Baba is unscientific baseless illegal and is meant to confuse the public at large and to exploit the poor and gullible citizens. He practise fraud in a cunning manner, trap the innocent followers, rob them of their hard-earned money and lead a licentious life.

Therefore we urge you to take the following demands

1. Under the provisions of the above quoted Act of 1954 his claims are against the law of the land. Said Baba should be brought to clutches of the law of land.
2. To ascertain the amount of property and money gained by the ‘Baba’ by cheating people.

Hope you will take necessary action against the said Artatran for the greater interest of the public for which we shall be grateful to you.
