Sam Fuller started this petition to the department

The choices of classes this year has been lacking in many ways. There have been classes with very little enrollment or none at all forcing students to seek directed readings (for classes that should be offered) that have had as many as 15 students. This petition is to inform the department that we graduate students would like to have more say as to what classes are being offered. Simply put, these classes (especially methodological ones) are influential in what research we can do. Refusing to offer important classes due to a mandate of 1 graduate class per year per professor has severe negative consequences for our learning and our success in research and publishing. Classes in high demand should not be forced into an "underground" status of a directed reading.
