The guy in the photo (from www.skoot.ie is riding a Segway ES2 electric kickscooter, while the Gardai are often observed on a similar Segway device...

They aren't MPV's, as as there's no mechanical or electrical propulsion from the beginning, as human assistance, such as a manual scoot is a necessity (for the electrical power to initate)

The Gardai are misinterpreting the law. FACT!

These skoots could really help with traffic congestion in our capital city, and in promoting a healthy environment.

Also, they could be used in conjunction with public transport, as part of the 'last mile', from the Dart station or Luas stop to your home.

Hopefully things will change, and legislation introduced ASAP, as this legal grey area is shocking!
