Amber Alerts and Nationwide News Reports for D.C. Missing Youth
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
In the past month, several teens have been reported missing in the Washington, D.C area. Much social media, as far as pictures of teens and descriptions have been shared. Yet there is a serious lack of awareness on large scale media (i.e. news stations across the U.S., Amber Alerts, etc.).
This petition is not to blame anyone for the lack of remorse regarding this unfortunate chain of events. Urge the media to do a better job with spotlighting the missing children to assist with their safe return. Before signing, please do your research.
Check the AMBER Alert website for how it work:
Once law enforcement has determined that a child has been abducted and the abduction meets AMBER Alert criteria, law enforcement notifies broadcasters and state transportation officials. AMBER Alerts interrupt regular programming and are broadcast on radio and television and DOT highway signs. AMBER Alerts can also be re-disseminated through lottery, digital billboards, Internet Ad exchanges, Internet Service Providers, Internet search engines, as well as wireless devices such as mobile phones (source: https://www.amberalert.gov/faqs.htm#faq2
