The Department of Basic Education has recently announced a national rewrite for the Mathematics paper 2 and Physical Sciences paper 2. 

The Matrics of 2020 feel this decision was the wrong one and that the DBE should revisit this decision and include the opinions of the Matrics of South Africa, the majority of which feel a rewrite should not be the action. We believe different steps should be taken to minimize the effects of the leaked paper. The leak only occurred due to poor administration from the DBE and so the feeling of unfairness felt by South African Matrics is valid and should be acknowledged as such. A reevaluation from the DBE is essential to the Matrics due to the increased pressure and stress placed upon us as well as the theft of our feeling of relief. The move of IT to the 17th of December further encumbers those who take the subject relevant subjects as Chemistry and IT are two long and difficult exams.

We implore you, the DBE, to revisit this decision and account for the concerns of the Matrics. If you really want to have less of a mental impact on us, acknowledge our concerns and give us transparency with regards to this issue.
