I have worked as a health care professional for over 25 years in the United kingdom and Europe where I gained my qualification as a Registered General Nurse from 1994.

In that time I have seen many changes in the health and social care system the latter being a lack of funding and resources for the most vulnerable people in our society.

Recently I witnessed  very  poor care and a real lack of education and structure to a private health care organisation which were asking for extremely high funding which didn't equal the level of care the individuals recieved. This made me so sad and also helpless, although I followed the process of escalating my concerns and informing the right professionals this had a profound effect on my overall health.

I feel that there needs to be far more work carried out in private health care for our most vulnerable people as they are being failed by companies who are making millions to house them and "care" but in reality there is a real crisis on employing the best candidates and adequately train the staff to ensure they are equipt to carry out appropriate care and also there are enough employees to ensure residents needs are being met as in reality this rarely happens.
