My Son passed away from HSV2, he was only 12 days old. I was a first time mother with no idea about what HSV was until my son's death. Me nor my partner had ANY symptoms at all for HSV. There are various tests that can be done for ALL pregnant women to ensure they do not have this infection and to prevent them from passing it on to their baby as this is FATAL for newborns. There are 2 forms of HSV - HSV1 and HSV2, both of these again are fatal ! 
Irrespective of the amount of tests required, ANY sane parent would do these tests if it meant that it prevented their child from passing away. 
help me today to make that change and save a parent from burying a child.
