Mum-to-be R has been told just two weeks before her due date that her baby girl will be taken away from her at birth.

R has no mental health concerns, no violent history, no drug abuse, no alcohol abuse. She is excellent with children and has even worked in several nurseries and has a qualification in childcare. Her only 'crime' is having a learning difficulty.

R has a big supportive family to help her raise the baby, and is supported by them practically, financially and emotionally. Throughout the pregnancy, R's social worker has told her she will make an excellent mother, and that mum and baby would be supported to stay together.

Despite this, just two weeks before the baby's due date, R has been told via an online meeting that her baby will be removed at birth and placed into foster care.

To tear a baby away from her loving mother is a sickening proposal that can't be allowed to happen. Please stand with us against this injustice and ask that her case be reassessed immediately.
