Too many people loose their lives due to lack of knowledge and being uneducated about basic life support and how to correctly perform CPR.

Annual Basic life support and CPR training in secondary education and even universities will enable young people to be equip to perform life saving measures. 

An example is this, would be this weekend 8 people lost their lives at Astrofest. Multiple accounts have been made about teenagers performing CPR incorrectly, trying so hard to save their friend or family members life but failing due to lack of knowledge. 

Survival rates are almost zero if people collapse and get no support until paramedics arrive, however immediate CPR in some cases can double the chance that someone will live.

This petition aims to help give these young people from 12 + the experience and knowledge to perform CPR and basic life support, if they were ever in the horrible situation where someone’s life was in jeopardy.
