Improve student mental health with Nap Times
At school, if you take a look around, you'll see that at least half if not more of the students have their heads down, are visibly tired, some even struggling to stay awake. This might make teachers feel like students aren't paying attention or don't care, which I think is often not the case;we are tired, mentally and physically. We think that the effects of online learning for 2 years have affected students heavily, and it is not being talked about or addressed as much as it should. When we get home from school, we have several other responsibilities, and homework just continues to pile up, causing many many students to stay up late just trying to stay on track, feeling burnt out and overwhelmed. There are many demands inside and outside of school from students. We think schools need to meet the needs of students and either demand less homework and our time, or give us a break period during school, shorten the school day, or work with students to find a solution. Parents,Teacher's, Staff, I'm sure you've noticed the blatant fatigue and exhaustion in these children. For many of us the day goes by and seems like a blur, we aren't learning properly. This is a constant concern for us and many other students daily. We're aware if we don't communicate we won't be heard so this is our letter to you. Here and now we are reaching out for help and to be heard. So please listen.
