The Covid19 crisis is showing how vital the jobs that involve caring for the elderly are. Carers are among the lowest paid professions in the country, with many job positions advertising the minimum wage. This is a country where stacking shelves in a supermarket can be better paid than looking after older adults with many physical and emotional needs. 

Introducing a compulsory dignified minimum wage of £12-£15 per hour for formal carers is the best thank you the Government and society can give all hard-working carers that are 24/7 on the front line of caring for our elderly loved ones.
