Ensure Indian Army soldiers are provided Kevlar bullet proof jackets.

Indian Army soldiers unlike jawans belonging to the Central Armed Police Forces like the CRPF and the BSF do not have light weight Kevlar bullet proof jackets. Instead they use heavy steel jackets which make prolonged patrolling difficult and hamper mobility. This has actually resulted in fatalities when soldiers prefer the unhampered mobility offered at the expense of survival. I find it shocking that a nation willing to spend Rs 1400 crores for a singld Rafale fighter cannot afford to equip its Army jawans with lightweight Kevlar jackets.
