For Aadila Hassim to step down from her position as supervisor for UKZN OT students.
Many Occupational Therapy students from years of study level two to four, more especially black students, have complained about the ill-treatment of Aadila Hassim and the unethical behaviour she carries as a supervisor for students. Students have raised concerns about racial discrimination, favouritism, unnecessary delegations, verbal abuse, public humiliation, and misleading students when treating clients in hospital facilities and give them lower marks who are under her supervision, more especially black students. Such concerns have been raised at the Occupational Therapy department of UKZN but no action was taken and her unethical behaviour still continues. This petition aims at removing her as a supervisor at UKZN as the OT department overpowers the voice of victimised students. In addition, moderation of marks for students she has supervised is also requested as a means of bringing justice for students who are victims of her unethical behaviour.
