The City of Ottawa should allow primary AND secondary residences as short-term rentals.

The City of Ottawa is looking at new regulations for short-term rentals like Airbnb. The regulations they are proposing would mean that only primary residences (the home that the person lives in) would be allowed to be rented short-term. Secondary residences (or entire apartments on Airbnb) would be banned, taking income away from families who depend on their short-term rental income to afford their homes and even their healthcare. This would also make Airbnb less accessible to vulnerable groups who do not feel safe staying in someone's primary residence.

Tell the City of Ottawa to keep short-term rentals inclusive. Say no to primary residences only. Ottawa should allow primary residences AND secondary residences when they create their regulations. Let's keep regulations inclusive. Let's share Ottawa.
