I've been incarcerated for nearly 13 years now, and I've seen in a lot of cruel and unusual punishment in the prison system. I have been beaten, mistreated, retaliated against and refused my constitutional and basic humans rights.

When I first arrived in Harnett on August 27,2021 I was placed in quarantine and constantly harassed by captains, lieutenants, sergeants, and officers. During this time i was threatened by a captain to drop a sexual harassment claim, he stated that he will call his dogs off if i dropped the claim or wish i had. My quarantine was extended , but no one tested positive for Covid.

When Warden John Goddfrey and associate Warden Marshall Pike found out about the class action law suit, my peers and I had made against the prison, they put all of us in segregation. The segregation unit was not suitable for housing offenders. The unit was infested with spiders, roaches, black mold and no hot water. The stench of urine and feces was strong. This was a serious  health hazardous problem. They had large vents behind the cells where the officers make a habit of secretly watching us as we used the restroom , perform religious practices and attend to our needs. The officers would bang on my  walls while I was performing my religious practices. It is over 500 complaints about the condition of this unit.

Most of my property had been thrown away during this transition. They claimed that we were under investigation for suspicious gang related activities. This was a completely baseless, futile claim. My mail was tampered with as well. 

I am determined to make them answer for the violation of my constitutional and humans rights. By suppressing my correspondence, grievance,and incoming mail is a violation of my freedom of speech, right to protest, and right to protest, and right to peacefully assemble. The act of appraisal due to my legal plans and the disrespect of my religious freedom also fall in with these violations. Placing me in a molded , insect infested unit , with only cold water is cruel and unusual punishment. I've reached out to NC Director of prisons, the NC mayor, the NAACP, etc all to no avail.
