The corporate business is managed by specific people in the top of the hierarchy. Some of these corporations care less of the environment and the society, as long as they make money. It’s supposed to be their responsibility to create a healthy environment for the people. We, the citizens of this country must be aware of the corporate social responsibilities.

According to investopedia.com, “Corporate social responsibility, often abbreviated "CSR," is a corporation's  initiatives to assess and take responsibility for the company's effects on environmental and social well-being.” It also involves incurring short-term costs that do not have an immediate  financial benefit to the company, but instead promote positive social and environmental change.

A good example of these corporations’ irresponsibilities is the issue in Boracay where 51 business are in danger of being penalized of closure orders. This is for the reason that they were suspected of polluting the sandy paradise. Boracay is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Philippines both locally and internationally.

What they’re doing is disrespectful of the environment. If this keeps on happening, we might never have any tourist spots in the Philippines. Foreign people would see us as a very dirty and greedy country. We must stop these troublemakers from causing any harm to our mother nature.

Join us in our campaign against the corporations’ destructive acts. With you by our side, mother nature would be restored again to its rightful place.
