This issue is important to me because housing provides the stability that people need to address unemployment, addiction, mental illness, and physical health. ... Ending homelessness is not only beneficial to the people who have moved into housing. It is beneficial to the community and to the healthcare system as well.Researchers have estimated unemployment rates among people experiencing homelessness ranging from 57% to over 90% .Substance abuse was the single largest cause of homelessness for single adults (reported by 68% of cities).According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 20 to 25% of the homeless population in the United States suffers from some form of severe mental illness also, about 30% of people who are chronically homeless have mental health conditions and last but not least, 50% have co-occurring substance use problems.

Causes of Homelessness-causes of homelessness among unaccompanied individuals were lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, mental illness and the lack of needed services, and substance abuse and the lack of needed services.

Effects of Homelessness- Effects of homelessness which include depression, poor nutrition, poor dental health, substance abuse and mental health problems. According to recent studies, homeless people also experience significantly higher rates of death, disability and chronic illness than the general population

From the help of The Government Federal housing programs are one of the most successful housing-based solutions to reduce homelessness. The two largest federal housing programs are public housing and federal housing vouchers, known as Housing Choice Vouchers or Section 8 vouchers. But in that way I want to take a stand and make a Law that government should support those homeless my providing their needs such as,food,socks,clothes,blankets,hygiene care and shelter once a month to those who they see are in desperate need of help. The government is someone who can make a even bigger change I want them to be successful in also proving there needs.

Here in the Untied States, It can be up to just a simple dollar of change to help those in your community who are I need of your help not only to help families but the environment.
