We are living in a dangerous time. People, especially women are scared for their lives. Whether we are walking, driving or sitting in the comfort of our own homes. We are being attacked. We don’t know where it’s safe anymore. We have become a target to the males of this country. This is a cry from the women that feel endangered to anyone that is willing to hear us.

There are people who feel entitled to our bodies. They feel that have ownership of us. And worse off, these men feel entitled to our lives. We have had enough of this sense of entitlement. 

Our law is failing us. This is our cry for help. This is a peaceful march. We are not going to fight violence with violence. How many more of our mothers, sisters and daughters must be violated and killed before it is put to a stop. 

On the 10th of January 2020, we will have a peaceful march for all our sisters who have fallen. Please join us on this walk of awareness against gender-based violence. Change will only happen if you become part of that change. Let us unite and find ways to protect each other.
