Officer Al Scott served the department of corrections for 26 years,  20 of those years he worked in OBCC messhall in the kitchen. He was much more than a co-worker,  he was a friend,  a mentor,  and the protector for staff in his area.  His name was known for being able to control the flow of inmates.  He insured that staff was safe.  He was able to diffuse situations.  He was diligent in his duties...He spent most of his life in OBCC kitchen... This is an honor that he earned.  He gave 26 years to DOC,  naming OBCC messhall after him is a small thing to show appreciation for a job well done.
