Give "Just Representation" the Colbert Bump
The Colbert Bump for "Just Representation" would be a gesture toward correcting the out-of-balance political system, by providing some national exposure to Jeff Sumerel, the first U.S. House of Representative candidate in American history who is accepting no financial contributions, and who is expressing no opinion throughout the election, nor his term if elected.
Just Representation will activate and offer to the public an online “voting” system that would be a key component of Sumerel’s operation to test the theory of pure democracy. In short, every matter brought to vote in Congress will be determined by the majority of those in the 4th District. For the first time ever, S.C. voters will be empowered beyond the election by accessing an innovative, delegated voting system, one that has already begun to gain traction in Europe.
