West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre (WSNCC) is an independently operated community centre that has provided a positive and family-like atmosphere with vital programs for the people of West Scarborough for over 50 Years. Its main facility is located at 313 Pharmacy Ave, between Danforth Ave. and St Clair Ave E.

First opening in 1956 as a Boys Club, and then expanding in the 70's to include services and programs such as Youth Justice Services, Aquatics Programs, Seniors Programs, Early ON, Playcare, and Employment and Skills Development programs, WSNCC has a become a vital local hub for the entire family.

Over the last 10 years it has become clear that the needs of the community have begun to outgrow the size of our centre, with 14% of Community Respondents not being able to participate in a program because it was full. Along with a projected population increase of 20% over the next 15 years, it is becoming absolutely imperative for WSNCC to build a bigger and more accessible facility in order to continue to serve everyone's needs in the neighbourhood. 

As of the creation of this petition on June 8, 2019, we have been awaiting news from the City about a renewed lease and asking that they allow us the opportunity to develop the site and building. With permission from the City, we can help them get the people of West Scarborough greater access to vital programs and services and so that no one is left behind.
