The PLOT Continues ?

We, the citizens of Surrey, petition the city to allow the PLOT Sharing Garden and Medicine Wheel (71 Avenue & 137A Street, Newton) to continue to operate on a year to year basis with permission and support from the city.

There is a need in the community to be educated about growing food, to have access to fresh, local, nutritious food and to be a part of a community that supports a healthy lifestyle. Also, the medicine wheel creates a space for those in need of healing in the form of aboriginal ceremony. This space enables the community to build resilience through bonds of friendship, offering support to those in need, and ultimately contributes to crime reduction.

We would like the city of Surrey to support this space with the necessary elements to help it succeed and to continue to grow.
