I'm a local resident of Indio and have seen the transformation from what the park was some 37 years ago , also it carries a very bad label , its come a long way since then and still you ask anybody about the park and the reputation follows it what I'm trying to do is welcome families to this park by painting different characters , the alphabet, numbers maybe even team logos on the new walk way the city has made ,without fear of removal or fines. I'm doing this alone and im not asking for supplies or any money , just an opportunity to do what I love which is bringing smiles to my community and maybe permission from the city to continue doing what keeps me happy .I have also started this for the kids to inspire them to get their minds off of their phones or video games and encourage them to go outdoors and get healthy.In doing so its opened more doors than i ever imagined , I've built relationships with neighbors I would of never met if it wasn't for me painting these small but big meaningful things on this walkway.

It has also broken language barriers between my community and me .My idea was only to bring families to this park and hopefully drive away that label that miles park has carried for many years but it's done so much more its brought me a joy I cannot explain to watch people walk by and smile.thank you
